Musical Monday: The Goodbye Jaejoong Edition

Posted by Stephanie on March 30, 2015

Jaejoong 2

The very first of JYJ is off to do their military service. Jaejoong is first which means it’s only a matter of time before Junsu heads in. Waaahhh.

In his rounds of goodbyes, Jaejoong¬†just did a sold out concert (that both Junsu and Yoochun attended–I luf these guys!) where it is rumored that tickets were being scalped for a million won. Woah. After the concert, he posted a picture of his self chopped hair (isn’t it funny how stars will cut their hair before their military buzz cut? It’s like testing the water–short hair training wheels).

For me I’ll miss Jaejoong’s weirdo Instagram updates. He was certainly an odd light spot on the feed.

To celebrate Jaejoong, I chose this video, Mine. It is possible I did this song on the old Crazy For Kdrama, but since I can’t find it, I’m going to pretend it didn’t happen. While I love (love, love, love) me some Junsu, it’s Jaejoong and his more rock-ier tracks which are more like the music I listen to (back when I used to listen to English music). I like to think that the video is just as off-beat as Jaejoong himself.

So now it will be 2 years before we see him again–but don’t cry too much Jaejoong fans! He announced at his last concert that he has prerecorded music so there will be a release while he is away. Awww…wasn’t that nice of him? Thinking of the fans like that? Maybe we’ll be really lucky and someone taught him the power of the scheduled tweet.

Anyway, good luck Jaejoong, stay safe, stay weird, and come back soon.

Jaejoong, Mine.

I will admit that i love DBSK because of the Yunjae couple . Yunho and Jaejoong made me love the group more. So when they separated it broke my heart. But gladly there’s JYJ and TVXQ and i still love them though they have their own groups. I love how the bromance grows deeper among JYJ and TVXQ. Separated maybe but they still look up to each other. I love how they show their affection to one another!….there will be no JJ for two years but at least his songs are there to keep me company while he is away

Gosh, Mine and One Kiss is the epitome of Jaejoong for me. WWW is an incredible, solid, one of a kind album in the KPop world (well, it’s of rock genre, so not entirely KPop). Way better than I/Y. But none of the songs can compete with the greatness of Mine and One Kiss. Jaejoong is so talented. I’m so glad he broke away from his old company. If he stays, he woudn’t blossomed to be a great artis he is now.
