Tonight, I was busily writing entertaining and witty posts–and by that I mean watching Buzzfeed videos while procrastinating. I’m a big fan of the attention grabbing short format videos. It’s a giant time suck, once you start one, you just can’t stop. Some of my favorites are the American’s try…. for the first time. Usually this is some sort of ethnic cuisine, liquor, or other random grossness.
It’s also possible I watch because I have a giant crush on Eugene.
Anyway, as I was cursing myself for my lack of self discipline, along came this video:
Americans Watch Kdramas For The First Time
“I literally didn’t even know this was a thing.”
As I watched I did cringe to myself a little bit worrying about what they were going to say. Yes, we love Kdrama but we gave it a few episodes. To me it seemed like they watched the first 15 minutes of a couple of different dramas. Dramas are usually not at their best 15 minutes in. Buzzfeed has a lot of reach and this is another big step forward for us and our continuing mission to help Kdramas take over the world.
All in all, it wasn’t bad. I’ve seen them do worse. And some of their comments are things I’ve said to myself. “Where are all the teachers??” Maybe from this we might not pick up new viewers, but at least more people will “realize this is a thing”.
“Here’s the thing, I’m like making fun of it, but I can totally see myself after like 5 episodes being like ah-ha, this is so dumb as I’m like riveted.” Amen sister, preaching to the choir.
And now I’m off to watch a drama.

Haha. That girl who made the riveted comment took the words right out of my mouth.
BuzzFeed is dangerous once I start one video I can’t stop. The ones were they taste foods or drinks from other countries are my favorites.
Yep, with kdramas before you know it your addicted.
And now I’m off to watch some BuzzFeed videos because I want to know who Eugene is 😀 😉
