Top Five

graphic love youCome on, you know you love them. What drama can’t be made better by a little bromance? That friendship that isn’t quite a friendship, isn’t quite a brotherhood, and not really a romance—but is a straight mix of all three. There are even those dramas where the bromance manages to overshadow the main romance. That we looked forward to seeing them on the screen more than the OTP’s eventual fish-eyed kiss.

Here is my list of the Top 5 Kdrama Bromances.

The If Only Bromance

Sungkyungkwan Scandalsungkyunkwan scandal

This is the one drama where we all kind of wished Crazy Horse would dump his ill-fated crush on the heroine in, Goo Yong Ha would drop his womanizing ways and they would just get together. In a drama where the hero struggles with the idea that he might be gay, the writer writes this side best friend un-couple which puts the mance in Bromance.

The Troublemakers Bromance

Heartless City

heartless city 2

While they may be gangsters and ne’er do wells, it doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve to have a best friend–someone you might actually be called upon to die for. Their scenes were a bright spot of levity in this twisty and turny drama—you know—until they weren’t and you cried your eyeballs out. (Come on, it can’t just have been me!)

The F44 Bromance

A Gentleman’s Dignity

a gentlemann's dignitiy

The drama that shows that bros can come in 4 packs and that men do not actually mature with age, the F44 guys made us laugh, groan, and in that one flashback, cry. We could see, in again those fantastic flashbacks how their relationship had lasted all this time.

The Sporty Bromance

Dr Champ

You know what’s better than a good reunited ‘we were once friends and then there was a misunderstanding which caused us to become enemies, but circumstances throw us together to makes us work out our differences and become even closer’ bromance? The fact that for a good part of this drama they don’t wear shirts.

The Death Can’t Kill This Bromance Bromance

Shut Up Flower Boy Band

This could also be called the guyliner bromance. I swear half of their budget must have gone to eye-liner. We knew the fact that Lee Min Ki was only scheduled to appear in three episodes, it was not going to be good. But his death made this group of guys even tighter and this drama was chock-a-block filled with bromance upon bromance upon bromance.

Honorable Mentions: Coffee Prince (I consider the OTP almost a bromance, plus, you know, all the princes.) , Padam Padam (of the convict and guardian angel sort) and

school 2013

School 2013. I know that people love the heck out of this one, so I knew it needed to be in here,  but as I haven’t seen it, I can’t add it onto the main list.

So here are my favorite bromances, what are yours?

I think once you see School 2013 it will work its way up your list. That’s the one that first comes to mind for me.

I was getting worried when I didn’t see School 2013 up top…look up bromance in the dictionary and you get these two! Watch asap. For another twisted bromance, I’d add Gaksital.

Have you watched Remmember me/ Hello monster staring Seo In Guk and Park Bo Gum? It should be in the list because of the super sweet moments and strong chemistry between them. ❤ I watched a fanmade video about bromance of this drama and I had to go watched it immediately, no regret.
