BuzzFeed’s Try Guys Invade KCon!

tryguys-featureGuys, seriously, guys. You know those times when I should be watching Kdrama but I’m not–or I should be writing posts but I’m not–or I’m supposed to be pretending I’m a functioning adult but I’m not…what has usually happened is that I’ve falled down the rabbit hole that is Buzzfeed. Their articles, their videos, it just takes one 19 ways something something did something amazing or a single Americans try some sort of ethinic food and I’m out of commission for at least an hour.

Who’s with me?

So, that moment when we were wheeling down the hallway at KCon, minding our own KCon-y business and then from out of the blue we were passed by BuzzFeed’s Try Guys? I lost my shit. Dude. I love the Try Guys. They are so freaking funny! And Eugene is so pretty.

And funny.

And cool.

And stylish.

Okay. I’m back. See how I can get distracted?? Just as I was about to turn around and bolt towards them, I realized what they were saying to everyone. “Go to the performance stage!” Which would only mean one thing–they were going to do a performance, and if you stalk know the Try Guys like I stalk know the Try Guys that meant one thing–they were going to dance to Kpop.

Which means I needed to be there to experience that. 20150802_124724

Luckily the Mystical Being of Unicorns was the other member in our tribe who knew exactly what a momentous occasion this was, she took control and with swift feet and a firm determination, she wheeled me through the crowd to get our place in line. “Move! Get out of the way! Oh, isn’t that cool…. no later. We’ll come back later.”

And we were right, a few minutes later, the Try Guys came out and performed to Sistar’s Shake It and BigBang’s Bang Bang Bang. The crowd went wild! They had an hour to come up with their dance and I was super impressed. Apparently, this is going to be a 3 or 4 part series! I can’t wait to see it and be like–I was there! I saw them in person! This was definitely one of my big highlights of the whole weekend.

While I know they will come out with their video in a while, here is the video I took of them.

When you say “wheel” do you mean you or someone in your crew uses a wheelchair? My husband uses a wheelchair so my antennae ar up for things like that.

Good eye! Yep, that was me. I’m having an issue with my knees and I’m currently only cleared to walk about 2 blocks–hopefully PT will clear me back up! Everyone at KCON was super-duper nice about it.
