OKC Show Poll, First Drama Of the Year

okc-group-header-finalAnd it’s Stephanie’s choice!

It was completely a joke when I said to the other admins when it came time to choose the next a drama that they should just be nice and let me choose the dramas, but they said “Eh, why not?”. As I’m no fool, I took the idea and ran with it. The last few rounds, due to work schedules I haven’t been able to participate in drama chats, but with a sudden work change, I’m looking forward to chatting it up with the rest of the ladies of the group.

So here is my eclectic list of choices:

Doctor Champdoctor champ

Yes, I’ve seen this one before, but I figured this might finally get the chance to get everyone to watch this drama!

Kim Yeon Woo is an orthopedic doctor who takes up a new post at Taereung National Village, the training center for national Olympic athletes, after she is fired from her previous job. She becomes romantically involved with Park Ji Heon, a young judo athlete, and Lee Do Wook, the short-tempered, crippled director of the facility who is still haunted by the injury that had cut short his speed-skating career. This is further complicated by the presence of the swimming coach, Hee Young, who becomes her rival for the attentions of Do Wook.

Boarding House #24boarding house

Not sure why I want to watch this drama, I never heard much about it when it came out, but once the idea hit me, it wouldn’t leave.

Six young people with different personalities and different backgrounds move into a boarding house together. What they don’t realize is that it’s not mere coincidence they’re new roommates: it’s all the owner’s doing. A bachelor and a playboy, the owner recently discovers that he has a child who’s about 24 years old and born in the late summer. Curious as to who his child is, he brings these six young strangers together to find him/her.

The Devilthe devil

I always thought this might be an interesting watch and after a month of movies, it might be nice to watch something chewy.

When Homicide Detective Kang Oh Soo hit a dead end in his investigation of two seemly unrelated murders, except for the Tarot cards left behind at both crime scenes, he sought help from Seo Hae In, a woman with Token-object reading ability. She revealed that the killers were different in each murder, but the victims were chosen for their connection to a death of a high school boy. Later, the cases proved to have one more thing in common: the suspects have the same defense attorney, Oh Seung Ha.

Poll ends on Friday, so don’t forget to head over to Operation: Kdrama Chat and vote!

I just finished The Devil and let me tell you, smoldering glances abound. But it is pretty sad – just warning you! It might not be the best show for deep mid-winter darkness. I placed my vote for the OTHER lovely stone-faced coca-cola eyed Uhm Tae Woong drama. Mmm.

I haven’t watched yet the other two shows (not even Dr. Champ, despite the fact that I’m a devoted member of the invincible Uhm-force) but let me be frank: even though The Devil is one of the best dramas I’ve watched, I would never go back to that dark yet fascinating world during the holidays. No way, I refuse!! The other two look so much more fun and I desperately need fun these days 🙂

Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
