Conan O’Brien has arrived in South Korea and seems to be making the most of his visit while using the TeamCoco Instagram account to let his fans follow along.
Last week, Conan announced on his show that he was visiting South Korea to personally thank a fan who wrote him a letter and sent snacks. He arrived at Incheon airport and was greeted by fans and Sunny Lee, who’s gift had gotten him there in the first place. Of course, a selfie was required.
Thanks to the Instagram account, we have been able to see Conan enjoying local food, being impressed with the utensils used to cut meat, finding a new aquatic pal that he named Samuel, and even visiting the border between North and South Korea with The Walking Dead star Steven Yeun (I will admit that this made my fangirl heart so, so happy).
On Monday night, Conan hosted a meet and greet for about 230 fans. Questions were answered and he said that some were even allowed to touch his well known hair. I’m hoping that some of the footage makes into the special episode of his show.
He sure has done a lot so far on his trip! According to known plans, he will also be visiting a local village where he will try things such as making kimchi. It has been announced that he will make a cameo appearance on drama One More Happy Ending. Conan will also be meeting up with JYP later this week for a project that has not yet been announced.
I love that he is using the Instagram account to take on the trip along with him. I’m definitely going to be checking back for all the updates throughout the week. I really hope that Samuel becomes his show’s mascot.

Except he broke the number one rule of Kdrama – he called it a soap opera. Conan, it’s just a television show.
Uncool man, uncool.
True, but considering he is new to all of this, I’m willing to let him slide.
I heart Samuel! Wonder if they will eat him at the end 😉
