Musical Monday: The Hot Fudge, Is That You FTISLAND? Edition

Posted by Stephanie on July 18, 2016

I was alerted to some new FTIsland music which dropped last week. Now, I’m a ‘fan’ of FTIsland, and by fan I mean I like their music and yet never, ever listen to it. Ever. Not sure why. They just aren’t that high up on the must check out list. So why did I click on this one? Of course it was the suggestive title, Take Me Now.

So I took them then.

And the song proceeded to blow my ever-luffin’ mind. Guys. Seriously. This song is amazing. And has a hardness that you 1) haven’t really heard in FTIslands Korean releases (I hear their Japan stuff has more of a harder edge to it) or 2) haven’t really heard in Kpop at all. (Which is probably why they keep it over in Japan.

The song is amazing, the video is visually stunning. It’s one of those songs you listen to that, before the song is even over, you go woah, yep, this is awesome. A song that, before the song is even over, you are over on Facebook messenger telling all your friends to check it out.

I will absolutely be picking this CD up. I’m hopig that the rest of the music is just as ear-catching. Now I’m also wishing that after CNBlue pulled out of KCON, that they had swapped them with FTIsland. Aren’t they with the same company? It could have worked. I guess I’ll just have to settle for Amber. (Just kidding, I love Amber!) Instead I guess I’ll just have to wait for them to do a US tour. Come on guys, CNBlue has done it, why can’t you? Come on, Hongki, you know you want to come to NYC…

this is one of their heavier sounding albums. it still has some lighter songs but it is amazing. if you like a more rock & roll sound this is your album. But I would listen to Lee Hong Gi sing Mary had a little lamb because I love his voice.
