Stephanie is tired. Dog tired. Ugly dog tired. This may make her a little punchy. This episode we’re talking dramas you can’t find anywhere and whether it’s getting better or worse, we have an honest to goodness voicemail where we talk Kcon tickets, and imagine who the Korean tourism board would gift us with if we are very, very good — and what we’d do with them once we got them. Comments on comments and announcing the LA KCon panels round out the chat.

Stephanie’s Epically Bad Day
(This is copied from Stephanie’s personal Facebook with her permission)
Woke up at 6am, left the house at 6.26, bus was early so I missed the bus, walked to second bus, realized I did not have enough money for the bus, walked home, got change for bus, went to original bus as one was due to be by at the same time. Realized I was still 3 cents short for the bus, asked lady for change, she said don’t worry about it, bus was 15 mutes late, got to train station, managed to get a seat, sat there for 15 minutes, started to move, then they shut down the line, had to go to WTC, walk to the subway, to get the train to get the to the other train to walk to the office. Managed to get there on time (okay, 5 minutes late but yesterday I was a half hour early). Worked 9 hours (with no ice cream whateves, I’m down 2 more pounds) walked to the train, took the train to the Path (6 flights of stairs), path to the bus (stopped for Chickpea where I was propositioned by the counter guy who had a cousin who was looking for a bride to get a greencard) bus to home at 7.20, sat down to work for ajMOSS for 2 hours, now I have an hour before bed. I might just go to bed.

Clarifications and Omissions

Cherry here. After choosing to take Jackson to an amusement park for our listener “Who Would You,” I found this video, which while it cracks me up, made me realize that could be considered torture to poor Jackson, so I’m afraid I’m gonna have to make him stick to riding the Tea Cups at Disneyland.

Stephanie should apologize to the following
  • Anyone who thought she described those terrible movies in such a funny way that they now feel like they have to go out and watch them, because they are indeed terrible. Although, she did say they were super bad, so maybe you should take responsibility for your own actions.
  • Anyone who misses the old format.
  • All the makers of good dramas, because she chose to watch such crap instead of your stuff.
  • The musicians in the Easter Egg, it’s not like she meant to eww you before she even listened… she’s just a jerk.
Thanks for listening! See you next time.

Tired Stephanie is still funny Stephanie. And it’s Humbledaisy1 because, well, it’s a long story. The first time I needed an online name (for an AOL Buffy the vampire slayer chat room), I was also a big XTC fan. My favorite song of theirs (at the time) was Humble Daisy. I signed myself up – and promptly lost my password. As I was young, I did not do a password recovery – I just signed up again as Humbledaisy1. And I’ve been variations on that ever since. Lesson learned here? Don’t pick hard-to-type online names. The End. Have fun at Kcon!
