I’ve nearly given up on Yoon Shi Yoon. It’s a sad, sad truth. It’s not that I want to, but his drama choices have driven me into this unfortunate position. So I guess Yoon Shi Yoon as no one to blame but himself. However, I feel like Yoon Shi Yoon has looked at this sad turn of events and thought to himself— “self? This just isn’t right. Let’s see if we can’t turn this ship around while there are still fangirls out there to launch said hypothetical ships.” Yoon Shi Yoon is very formal with himself.
And I am very ridiculous.
While his company says ‘he is seriously looking at many roles’ the one which actually has a name is the upcoming (probably KBS) drama, Strongest Deliveryman. He will be playing a hardworking — you guessed it– delivery man. This sort of role seems to be pretty perfect for him as he does seem to specialize in playing the everyman, underdog. He’s just so good at it, he emotes angst so well. I joke, but really, I remember him in Me Too, Flower! and he made me feel all the feelz and his character was actually a bit of a withholding dick.
ALL BEHOLD THE POWER OF YOON SHI YOON!
Despite me not wanting to watch any of his recent dramas, as it is Yoon Shi Yoon, I’ll give the show the once over as we get closer. However, I’m sure he is actually looking at lots of new dramas. Or that his management company would have him go right back out there after this year’s Mirror of the Witch. (He’s also currently filming a drama special on top of being a cast regular of 1N2D.) I’ve followed his companies Instagram, it’s filled with pictures of Yoon Shi Yoon. I’m guessing they don’t have a lot of other eggs in that basket.
The writer of Strongest Deliveryman is the same one who did Joseon Gunman which starred Lee Jun Ki a few years back. A drama that, which if I am not mistaken wasn’t a hugely popular drama for I think story reasons.
Oh, Yoon Shi Yoon, good luck turning that boat around.
