Heh. I’m so punny.
Since I’m now a giant Kim Young Kwang fan on the lookout for any new news on the Kim Young Kwang horizon, I’m happy to say, he’s looking at a new drama called Lookout! I know you can’t visually see this right now, but I’m doing a full on happy dance. Woot! Woot! Happy dance.
Interesting aside to possible new Kim Young Kwang drama (and as it’s not set in stone I say possible as drama casting is a trixie endeavor) the drama is an action possible fantasy drama (as of late all my dramas have been of the high-octane variety) and he plays a man who is twisted with revenge.
Why is this interesting? Well, in the evolution of Kim Young Kwan characters, it wasn’t that long ago where he primarily played bullies or bleads. To have him be a hero (or an anti-hero) who is able to tap into his bad guy skills? Well, that is a transformation I’m interested in seeing.
The drama is about a bunch of people hurt by crimes ( or had lived ones hurt by crimes) and the justice system hasn’t been quite so justice-y to them. Kim Young Kwang is a prosecutor who turns bitter and revenge wanting and the heroine a former Olympic shooter and violent crimes detective turned neighborhood watch member.
Right now they are also looking at Lee Shi-young to ply the female lead and this I’m having warm and fuzzy feelings towards too. She may look all cute and delicate, but we know that in real life, she took a turn as a professional boxer and was ranked at it before coming back to acting.
While I don’t always love a revenge drama, I’m interested in the purported fantasy elements. Will they all become vigilante super heroes? Is the killer some fantastical beast? Who knows??
Really. Who knows? If you do know, let me in on the secret. We’re all friends here and friends don’t keep drama secrets from friends.
We’re still a ways away from anything official here, apparently, we’re all still in the planning stages, but I look forward to hearing more about it.
