Khottie of the Week: Lee Jung Shin

Khottie of the Week/ Music

There really does appear to be a strong theme running through Kchat Jjigae these days…StarPop and CNBlue. Hopefully, by this point, you are totally on board and have created a StarPop account (let us know who you are ‘raising’ or ‘building a relationship with’), marked the calendar for the start of Yonghwa’s new drama (10/13) and have searched out every CNBlue music video. SaraG recently added a new idol to her StarPop family, and because I was in need of inspiration for this week’s post, her loud and repetitive refrain of “Lee Jung Shin, Lee Jung Shin” was impossible to ignore.

If you haven’t figured it out already, Lee Jung Shin is the bassist for CNBlue, contributes to vocals, acts and is SaraG’s second idol on StarPop. As all of my interest in CNBlue has been heavily focused elsewhere, I wasn’t even aware of who he was until I saw him act in Cinderella and the Four Knights last summer. He wasn’t my favorite in the show (not because he wasn’t good but because I have a thing for Jung Il Woo) but I enjoyed watching him play a character that you ended up hoping would have his own happy ending. The frequency of his acting has increased over the past couple of years so we will likely to continue to see much more of him. Because this post was strongly suggested by SaraG I asked her to send me photos she wanted to see and a brief time later I received an email with the subject “My god I love this man”. She’s been infatuated with him for awhile and I’ve never quite understood the strong interest so, with this post, Iet’s deconstruct her love for Lee Jung Shin.

SaraG has never been quiet about her love of bad hair so it will come as no surprise that he has a history of ‘interesting’ hair.

The G household has a dog and a cat…

And while SaraG keeps saying she has only two emotions, she secretly loves broody and angsty emo (she just doesn’t want to live with it).

At this point, it shouldn’t be shocking to discover that Mr. G happens to be a bassist.

SaraG never says no to a bottle of bubbly.

Or really anything related to alcohol.

The love of tattoos.

And hair dye.

There was even that period of time when she had to cover her dyed hair with hats at work until HR made some changes.

And finally ears. SaraG LOVES ears that don’t lay flat, that stick out, that can’t be ignored.

You can find SaraG stalking him on Instagram @leejungshin91.

Feel free to send suggestions that are not StarPop or CNBlue related!

Well, my suggestion is CNBlue related. I looked through the archives and see that the drummer Kang Minhyuk is the only member of CNBlue who has not been a Khottie of the Week, so I think it’s his turn!

My God, I REALLY do love this man. Every tiny bit of him.

This post totally made my day. Yes – he’s beautiful, Sara. I agree. 🙂

I agree with DBChen! PLEASE feature Kang Minhyuk next!! He’s currently starring in the Kdrama, Hospital Ship, and he’s SO good-looking!
