Throwback (Musical) Thursday – Their Gift to the World

Posted by SaraG on March 29, 2018

I am not, by nature, a procrastinator. In fact, I’m that person you loved to hate in college that would take the syllabus in the first two weeks of a semester and try to complete as much of the work as possible so that I could be lazy later. I am extremely efficient at being lazy and like to set myself up for success. This all being said, I’m not entirely sure why every time I have to work from home on a Thursday (it happens occasionally) I feel like I can hold off on writing a post until the day of and then get it on the site hours after I normally do. The guilt is crushing when I wake up and there’s no email saying Throwback is already posted.

But alas, even knowing that guilt was going to be a thing today, I couldn’t bring myself to write something earlier this week. I mean, I had Signal to watch. So in order to feel better about myself and to beg for forgiveness from the masses waiting, hunched over their phones or laptops for my post, I thought I should drop something that would really make you smile. I mean REALLY smile. Even more than you would because you just love the song. Because you love the songs, but this, this is something special.

I’ve talked before about all of the different versions of videos that get released to appease fans when there is an extended stretch between comebacks. There’s the regular release, the eye contact version, the relay, and the all-important dance practice or dance version. The last one is vital because so much effort goes into creating and perfecting the choreography that it’s a shame that it gets so lost in all of the production and story of the music video. Most of us will never see the groups live, so it’s really a treat to see them perform the choreo without all of that distraction.

Now, just because you’re an idol group that plays your own instruments does not mean that you don’t spend just as much time and effort making your fans happy. It’s hard work and in this uber competitive industry, you want to make sure that you’re really putting in the effort to give the screaming hordes everything they want. So for your viewing pleasure, I present N.Flying and their attempt at the dance version video. Two attempts actually.

My God, I want them to always do a dance version.

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen anything so delightful in my life.
