Casting News

I’ll admit, I’m totally busted to forgetting this new Netflix variety show was a thing, so much so that when I saw the article on Soompi the other day, I got all excited about a new variety show with Kwang Soo and Yoo Jae Suk. Literally. I was all “I can’t wait to tell the McFeeleys!” When after a tiny bit of research on the site made me realize, I did know, and I did tell the McFeeleys. What is going on with my brain lately? At least I know I’ve now been excited by the idea of this show twice now. I think I have to check it out

Now, since the last time we’ve reported, there have been some updates — no, this isn’t going to just be a post on ‘haha Stephanies dumb’ — nope, now we have a cast nailed down a plot and a start date. That’s a lot!

So, downside, since we last chatted, we did lose a big possibility to the cast as Daesung, who was originally in talks, went off to do his military service. Bummer. Not for the military service as I’m pro all of BigBang getting in there, getting it done, and putting out new music. I just know that Daesung not only is great at variety, but already has a great rapport with both Kwang Soo and Yoo Jae Suk. We still have Park Min Young who was DELIGHTFUL on We Got Married, so we know she can pull off variety very well. The rest of the cast is filled out with Sehun the leader of EXO, Ahn Jae Wook, who I will always remember from Secret Garden, and Kim Sejeong, former member of IOI.

We have the plot of the show, which is kind of like a like on Clue where the members, as a group, try to solve a crime. We know that Kwang Soo and Lee Jae Seok will totally be awe-ing and carrying their team members for a while here as, after years and years (and years and years) of Running Man, these guys kick ass at finding clues and solving fake crimes. Seriously, watch the episode when they were in ‘prison’— you’ll be amazed.

One mystery they could solve though? Where did Sehun get that blood-spattered suit?

Now the only downside I think about this show is the fact that it’s only going to be 10 episodes. (Shhhh….maybe you shouldn’t tell McFeeleys this). Upside, it’s going to start on May 5, so there is not much time left to wait!
