Just kidding. Don’t put them away. We appreciate you and your visible man bits. We (meaning me) have this new appreciation for the leader of Monsta X and, when I contemplate seriously on the matter, he is a solid #2 on my list. I won’t tell you where I rate the rest of the members as I’d like to keep some friends by the end of this post….

I was really excited to hear that Monsta X had planned a comeback as I’m really hoping they’ll ‘come back’ to the states soon. Or heck, I’m going to be in Korea in March, maybe this song will be doing really well for them and they’ll still be promoting there when I go? Sigh. I know. That’s probably not in the cards — but a girl can dream, can’t she?

While I’m new to the Monsta X fandom the Monbebes, and this is my first time eagerly awaiting their comeback, what I don’t have in history, I try to make up for in excessive love for them. I follow their Instagram, I watch fan-made videos including those hilarious ‘things you didn’t notice’ videos, watch their variety programs UNSUBBED. I’m not going to say it’s all Monsta X all the time, but let’s just say I can’t wait for that signed copy of the new album to arrive.

I wasn’t sure how I felt about Shoot Out when I first watched it. I do love the styling, but as the group’s pecs are pretty much all out for everyone to see, plus Wonho in that lip jewelry? What’s not to like? I love Joo-honey’s intro, “Excuse me I’m walking like zombie!” Ummm…okay then buddy. Love the use of shadows and the closeup on the eyes as seen in the video thumbnail.

Good to know Hyungwon is still just as good looking that close up. Possibly even more so if that was possible which, turns out it is.

It seems to have a post-apocalyptic Monsta X against the world mentality, which seems to be right in their wheelhouse. They have done so many now they could probably be known as THE dystopian kpop group.

I’ll also say, I’m sorry, but I can’t help but chuckle every time I listen to the song. If you’ve seen the video, you probably know why. Walker, Walker, Walker? Sure. I know that’s what they think they’re saying, but I am hearing is “Woka Woka Woka” which only means one thing. Fozzy Bear in the hiz-ouze! I’ve read the lyrics and I’m trying to understand what they’re saying and the only thing I can come up with is they’re in a bad relationship, girl wants to leave and they’re telling her they’ll become zombies and life would suck pretty hard if she does.

But I’m paraphrasing.

Monsta X, Shoot Out

And if you really want your day tickled, check their performance at Music Bank out, their costumes are AMAZING
