I don’t usually like to put up songs on the site without an actual MV, but the primary releases aren’t always the ones that I fall in love with and if I’m going to be an honest sharer of music, I shouldn’t settle for second best when I make a recommendation. So for this one, just close your eyes and listen. It’s super enjoyable and I don’t even know why.
Rocoberry is a male/female duo where he does the majority of the writing and producing and she is primarily the main vocal. They’re known for doing a ton of OST stuff and some great collabs with some well known and some lesser known artists. They also happen to be married, but that’s beside the point. Their music tends to be soft, emotional, perfect mood setting fodder. I think I was introduced to them by clicking a random video on YouTube and enjoying it well enough to look the song up on iTunes to add to a playlist. I don’t follow them per se, but when I see something come up, I usually listen. I completely missed the collab with Onew that came out in 2017 and I regret that now. That’s two years I lived without it. Total bummer for me.
The song that surprised me into paying a little more attention to Rocoberry is as collab with D+1 (whom I know almost zero about other than I like some of his? their? other stuff) called At First Sight. It’s not even one of their highest rated songs on iTunes. It’s not their prettiest, their most emotional, or their most popular. Even my husband commented ‘I’m not sure what I think about this song’ and I had to agree. There is just something about it that I keep coming back to. That I just love. It’s outside of my usual wheelhouse and I just don’t care.

Don’t you love those random click finds? This song is cute! Is it me or does it sound a like it could totally be a Seventeen song?
