Throwback (Musical) Thursday – Thing One Takes Over

This is Thing One, the epic first daughter of SaraG. My mom has been gone for over two weeks and Dad has actually started cleaning the house again. The whole first week Mom was gone, Dad locked himself in the basement to play video games and we were left to fend for ourselves. Ok, that’s a little bit of an exaggeration, he did come up to make sure we were fed and watered. Since it didn’t look like my mom wrote a post for today, I thought I’d cover for her and take over.

Mom, Stephanie, and Alix are about to get on the plane as I type, and I’m looking forward to seeing them…but I’m really excited about the presents. Before she left, my mom showed me the new Dreamcatcher video for the song Piri and I really liked it. When she asked what I wanted her to pick up for me in Korea, I thought long and hard about all of the options. I knew she’d get me different types of candy and snacks (she always does) and I was pretty sure she’d get some sort of cool magnet for my locker or stuffy that I could sleep with so I aimed a little higher this time. I decided on an album.

I thought it would be fun to try something new, so since I had just been introduced to them, I asked for the new Dreamcatcher album. Japanese metal has always appealed to me and this group has a lot of similar characteristics. I’m not biased between boy groups or girl groups…I like them both. But I’m really into the tough female image currently. The members of Dreamcatcher certainly carry this concept well from video to video. I also enjoy the creepy aspect of the video and the pictures I’ve seen. Their sound and image are exactly my style. I can’t wait to see the album.

I know it was risky to sneak into the blog, but I hope you liked my post. Let me know what you think and hope your year of the pig has started off well.

Piri, Dreamcatcher

Hi Thing One, thanks for pitching in. How fun is that? Your mom will be proud. Oh, and your anecdotes are great.

Good job! I hope you do more posts in the future. Or at least give your mom a break once in a while.
