Khottie of the Week: Lim Young Min

Khottie of the Week

Do you ever wonder what makes you fall for a group and pass over on others? Recently we’ve had some conversations about this, and it really seems to be very different for everyone. For some they got caught by the music, for others it’s a specific look…but we discovered, in the end, there really is no rhyme or reason. This past year (and years prior) I thought I was solidly iKON forever and there would never be another group that would compete to that level. And then two weeks before the iKON scandal, AB6ix debuted. I’ll be honest and say I wasn’t blown away by the debut music video. Yes, they looked great dancing in the rain but I didn’t find the song catchy. I’m not even sure why I watched it other than SaraG and Leila were uber excited. But three days later on a quiet Saturday morning, for some reason (a reason I have yet to figure out), I started watching their debut reality show Brand New Boys…I guess you can say the rest is history.

Lim Young Min is a rapper and the leader of AB6ix. He turned 24 on December 25th.

The rest of the group harasses him incessantly about his age and thus I originally thought he was a few years older! Very happy to learn he is only 24.

Youngmin, along with three others who would become part of AB6ix, competed on Produce 101 Season 2.

While two made it into Wanna One, Youngmin didn’t. During that time, he and Donghyun promoted as MXM.

They put out a lot of good music…go check it out!

Over the past six months of learning and loving them, he’s emerged as my bias.

I might be slightly biased but it’s not hard to see why…he’s beautiful.

And almost always good-natured…poor guy, he takes a lot of teasing from the rest of the group.

He’s tall and lanky.

And did I say beautiful?

He even likes all the banana flavors like me!

He’s had a lot of hair colors in the short time AB6ix has been out…all beautiful.
