My mom is in town for an extended visit and I am suuuper excited. I love my mom. My husband loves my mom. And, of course, my kids looooove their grandma. That being said, my time has been spent focusing on doing fun and exciting things with her for the last few days and will be for the next several weeks. That means that I’m going to have a smidge less to say in my posts as I have limited time to process all of the content that keeps coming whether I’m ready or not.
As the highlight of these posts is really the music and not so much the chatting, I’m sure you won’t mind at all.
So for this post I’m going to drop in something new with little context and lots of love. Over the last week, our fav quirky R&B singer, Zion.T put out a collab with the former leader of Sonamoo, Sumin. It’s high fashion, an almost minimal backing track, clever lyrics, and an absolutely charming amount of chemistry between the two artists. The MV includes some behind the scenes footage during the end credits – which I always love as it adds a certain element of humanity to artists that can come across as a little out of touch with how we real folks operate.
What I’m saying is that this song and this MV are pretty much everything. I’m a little surprised to see it come out in February as it has the look and feel of a summer song, but I’ll take it after all of this snow. It’s a bit of a welcome relief.
