Guys. I don’t know if you realize just how excited I am for the upcoming Still2Gether. Apparently properly pronounced Still2Gether and not Still 2Gether. Huh.
That aside? SQUEEE!
The teaser has been released as its only a few more days until the first episode is set forth among us. The 14th to be exact. I haven’t watched it yet as I figured that was going to shoot my excite-o-meter right over the roof to the point where I’d just be randomly jumping up and down in my apartment while making squeeing noises.
Side note. You ever do that? I’m really bad at that. Sometimes I know I’ll like something so much I actually won’t end up watching or doing it? It’s weird. I’m weird. You’re weird. Let’s be friends.
Anyway, I have seen some snippets on some BL Instagram feeds I follow, so I know it looks like it has the same tone and feel of the original show. It looks like it is just going to be 5 episodes of them gazing at each other, basking in each others love, while snuggling awkwardly. Essentially everything I desperately wanted from the ending of the show. Could it be? Is this actually the ending we deserved? I guess like there’s no time like the present to check out this trailer.
Brace yourself.
Okay, weird. I maybe…I’m in a mood. I’m super tired. I didn’t come out of that as excited as I thought I would. It could also be the weird subbing that kept bopping in and out. It looks like there are lots of cute moments. Smiles, loving glances, tiny hints at skinship. It’s all there. It must be me. It has to be right? Are you squeeing right now? Are you currently yelling at your computer “I don’t know what you’re talking about you dumb B, this was the most adorable thing ever!”
It does actually make me want to watch the 2Gether again. This is something I should have done! Binged it before the premiere! Make everything fresh in my brain! I mean, I binge edited this week’s podcast, so that’s mostly in the bag, I bet if I really tried, I could get it done. Or is that just going to make me over scrutinize Still2Gether? What I love so fresh in my brain that the second one isn’t going to have a chance to hold up? Its a thing. It could happen.
I just really liked this show and I’d like it to
1) Not just be a giant rehash of the first season
2) close up any loose threads
3) Not spend too much time on the other characters.
4) Not fake us out again on skinship. I don’t need it to be TharnType physical, but more hugs, more handholding, and maybe an actual kiss wouldn’t be too much to ask, right?
5) I need it to be as good and swoon-worthy as the first. I so, so, so need this to work out, don’t you? 2Gether has been such a part of my year this year, wouldn’t it be nice if just one thing worked out as we wanted it to?
No pressure I guess.
