I can’t believe another month has passed! Another month, of BLs down another new whole patch of BLs popping up again, and that’s not to mention the shows I’ve realized mid-month that I’ve missed! Alix and I will be sitting there watching and as her Youtube is now super gay, it’s always suggesting new shows, many of them no where near my radar! To which Alix looks at me and shakes her head. I have one job to do… one! Keep up the calendar! How could all these shows be escaping my notice??
I need to get better at this!
Anyway, we were suuuuuper busy during this month, so busy, we have to pause and try and remember all of the shows we’re watching. Sometimes the sheer amount of BLs we’re consuming actually makes me laugh. Just when I think “We can’t pick up another show!”… we pick up another show. This month for my birthday we both took a day off and spent the entire day watching and eating Bthemed foods. It was a great way to kick off the birthday weekend.
Anyway, I mean to do a separate post on what we’re watching or what we’ve finished, but for now, here’s an October scorecard.
Completed
My Day – We nicknamed this one “My Porn Day” and if you watched it you know why. Thought the ending was a little rushed.
Quaranthings – Oooh this was good! Short but I think if it had gone on longer it would have gone to a bad place.
Theory of Love: Special Episode – Meh. I wanted better for them. There was no real reason for this to exist.
Still 2Gether – SWOON. This was exactly the ending we deserved and I can’t wait to do a whole post on it.
Currently Watching
Oxygen – Cute. I like the main couple, am interested in the second couple and HATE the doctor and coffee girl storyline. Ugh.
Cherry Magic – This is DELIGHTFUL and we’ve put it on hold until it’s complete and SaraG’s agreed to watch with us!
My Gown and Your Gear – Oooh this is good. We were a few weeks behind so we binged a bunch of episodes.

Boys lockdown – Super cute, I think we’re a couple of weeks behind.
Like in the movies – Took an unexpected super emotional turn, I think we’re going to finish it next week.
Love by chance – we put this one on hold until we can watch it when it completes next week
Ingredients – They are slowly getting closer and closer to a real relationship!
Cravings – This completed this weekend and we’ll watch the last two ‘episodes’ this weekend. I think this is actually a movie that was cut up into episode pieces.
Boyband Love – we bailed on this after the first episode. Will probably go back later but I think the concept deserved a better attempt.

Lakan is about a man who wants to escape the reality of his life where he can rest from the hardships of the city and feel the simplicity of life and a man from the province who has a great responsibility to their tribe. The two form an intimate relationship without knowing that it is love despite their sexual orientations.
Will We Watch: I’m not going to say no, but I’m not very excited about it.
Theory of Love: Special Episode Stand By Me
Thailand – Single Episode (10/28)
Since the final scene, there are stories yet to be told. That being so, the gang has returned to complete the story.
Will We Watch: As mentioned above, we watched it as this was a total surprise on our radar, it was….okay.
Discipline Z: Vampire
South Korea – Series – 6 Eps
A YouTube streamer who is a big fan of mysterious events and a man with a mutated gene.
Will We Watch: Ummm… I don’t know, we’d have to watch the first one, have to make sure it wasn’t scary, we’d have to make sure we could get our hands on it. That’s a lot of variables.
November 5th
Oh, Mando
Philippines – Series
Mando gets into a complicated situation when his romantic feelings for Barry, his schoolboy crush, blossoms while he is in a relationship with his girlfriend.
Will We Watch: Dude! This has Gabriel from Game Boys in it! I’m still waiting to see if this will turn out to be actual BL, but we’d probably check it out?
November 6th
TharnType 2: 7 Years Of Love
Thailand – Series – 12 Eps
Type and Tharn have been together for seven years and both are enjoying their mostly harmonious life. They do still bicker and meet up with university friends. Now both working adults, Type and Tharn face difficult issues, as they learn that life isn’t always just flowers and candies. Can they overcome their challenges or will they be defeated by them?
Will We Watch: While I’m not pleased with the plotline they chose to go with for this. it’s THARNTYPE, of COURSE we’re going to watch this.
November 11th
Gen Y: The Series
Thailand – Series – 12 Eps
Mark wanted to challenge dr. Kit from Faculty of Medicine when he was told that Kit is hard to approach. But on the first day he meets with the doctor, he ended up getting on Kit’s bad side. He keeps pursuing the doctor and when he has the confidence to ask Kit to be his boyfriend, something happened at the same time, and as a result, Kit did not accept Mark’s love. The feeling of disappointment arose with all the characters. After solving their problem, Kit and Mark decided to tune their understanding once again.
Will We Watch: Given that these are the actors who didn’t go through with season 2 of 2Moons and their last show was not a BL, I have a sneaky suspicion this is not going to be real BL. I did love Kit though so I guess we’ll have to wait and see. You know. Wait until it’s over then if they faked it, if so we’ll vilify it, if not, then we’ll watch.

Thonlon Chonlatee
Thailand – Series
Okay, so this is coming up for viewing this month and no one has a synopsis. We do have two teasers which I’ve listed below, but no synopsis? Huh. From the teasers it’s pretty easy to suss out, Boys grow up together then go off to the same university, become roommates, one likes the other. Hijinks ensue. Interesting, the second lead? The creepy coffee shop owner brother from Dark Blue Kiss! He looks so much younger here, it took me a second to place him.
My Lockdown Romance

My Lockdown Romance is Star Cinema’s upcoming Filipino (Pinoy) boys’ love (BL) film directed by Bobby Bonifacio Jr.
Will We Watch: Honestly,we don’t often watch movies, BL and Bubbles are for dramas, not movies. If it’s cute enough or someone hacks it into episode like pieces, maybe.
November 14th
Why Love, Why
Philippines – Series – 5 eps
Two straight men named Benjo and Emil were assigned to be thesis partners by their professors. Emil, being not financially capable to do online research reluctantly agreed to stay in Benjo’s affluent penthouse unit. When a couple turned positive to COVID-19, the building where Benjo’s penthouse was situated was locked down for a month, paving the way for Benjo and Emil’s sexual awakening.
Why Love Why is a Filipino (Pinoy) boys’ love (BL) series from Philstagers Films. It takes pride in presenting not just the romance between two males but also their psychological and physical struggle brought about by their sexual maturation and emancipation.
Will We Watch: Oooooh sounds angsty. I’ll tell you what, Filipino dramas generally have that part to them, they are a little more real than some of the other countries out there.

Got’chu Fam!
Philippines – Series – 12 ep
Got’chu Fam! is a new Filipino (Pinoy) boys’ love (BL) sitcom that tackles friendship, love, and dreams of unique individuals. It is a story of five tenants, King, Kylie, Paul, Carlo, and Spencer, living in a boarding house with one goal in mind, to save their home from being mortgaged, which later created an unbreakable bond among them.
Will We Watch: I want to say yes, but as I watch that teaser? Meh. Not super into it.
Manner of Death
Thailand – Series – 14 eps
Dr. Bahnjit is a medical examiner based at the provincial hospital. One day, after carrying out an autopsy on the body of a woman who had seemingly hung herself, Dr. Bahnjit rules out suicide, as his findings point to homicide. His conclusion suddenly makes him the target of someone very powerful.
When an anonymous man breaks into his house and threatens him to change his report back to suicide, Dr. Bahnjit doesn’t take this threat seriously, But that all changes when one of his friends, a prosecutor, suddenly disappears. Dr. Banjit quietly conducts his own investigation in order to get at the truth. All clues lead to one suspect, a man named Tan, who denies any involvement. Tan convinces Dr. Bahnjit for them to team up together in order to find the real murderer.
Will We Watch: This is Max and Tul, so of course we’re going to watch and it will probably be added immediately to our simulcasting roster. However its troubling there is no date on this yet.
