Stephanie should apologize to the following:
- The constant yelling at the covid warnings coming from the loudspeakers. Turns out, you can’t hear it on the recording, so she just comes off as an old lady yelling at the neighborhood kids to get off her lawn.
- Poor Doyoungie, though she looks forward to your show most, she can’t remember what its going to be called.
- The term chafed nipple. She said it. It happened. If she can’t unsee it now you can’t either.

As someone who lives in a neighborhood where we play “Is that a gunshot, car backfire or fireworks?’ regularly, please walk in well lit areas. I’ve been watching Homicide Hunter on Hulu and all those crimes in Colorado Springs make me worry!
Maria sounds great – but I also have to admit to not totally falling in love with The Untamed. I got through it by having it play in the background while doing other things. Some characters I really liked – Evil Dimples, for example, and the Ghost General – but not actually the main love couple. Basically, it’s a show about what bad parenting does to people.
If she likes costume historicals (you know, pretty clothes and people but not prize winning plots) try looking on YouTube for shows like I’ve Fallen For You, The General’s Lady, Miss Truth and Su Yu. There are even less well made ones like I’m a Pet at Dali Temple and The Sleepless Princess which are funny but obviously have a lower budget.
My personal re-watch favorite silly Chinese historical drama is Lovely Swords Girl – both male leads are great and the plot is total fluff.
I’m always glad to listen to the exercise podcasts. My problem is getting myself to exercise early in the day so that I don’t just sack out at the end of the day while knitting. As part of your recommendations to Maria – how about some walking exercise with the shirtless guys from Allblanc.tv on YouTube? As it is now -9 degrees F. here, I’m doing my workouts inside and then reading lots of translated Chinese romance novels. When Mr. Daisy asks what I’m reading, I have to say, “Oh, a novel,” and hope he doesn’t ask for more information than that!
