I’m back from vacation! Stephanie, of course, did just as well or better than I did over the last two weeks of unexpected connectivity issues and sheer laziness. But I wanted to make sure that I got up a post for today as a way to remind my fingers how to type and my brain to think now that vacation is over. I find it much easier to think about Kpop than actual work and real life. Weird, I know.
Stephanie stepped in and ran my household (Denver gatherings and all), managing my animals, and accepting large furniture deliveries for which I will be forever grateful. Big shout out to friends that keep your life moving even when you can’t. After all of that work, I couldn’t NOT write something for the site now that I’m back – even if I’m feeling very, very lazy.
Being back from a highly anticipated vacation can be really painful. Easing into mowing the lawn, doing laundry, grocery shopping, etc, can be a huge, nasty taste of reality and I like to always make sure that I have something in the not too distant future to look forward to as a distraction. Something as small as a concert that I’m really looking forward to can do the trick…and as we’ve mentioned here previously, we have a number of concerts lined up that will do nicely. HOWEVER, the concert that I am looking forward to with all of my heart that has yet to be rescheduled is ATEEZ. I have been dying to see this group since before they had an official name and this cursed pandemic stole my opportunity. They have done an exceptional job of providing us all with content on Youtube, several albums, variety appearances, and the stint on Kingdom. We have not gone without seven of the eight members (Mingi being on break) for longer than a few days since their debut, let alone through the last year and a half of lockdowns and travel restrictions. But man, I really, really do want to see them on stage sometime soon.
This week, ATEEZ released their first Japanese single, Dreamers, for Digimon Adventures along with a beautiful summer-appropriate MV. It’s a lovely song, perfect for both an OST and a playlist to get you through those post vacay chores. The music and lyrics are fun and cheerful and they look stunning in the video. Of course they look stunning – ATEEZ always looks stunning.
