Have you ever had one of those moments where you THINK you’ve had a conversation? “No, we talked about this!” Then you look back and realize, no, you MEANT to have that conversation but never did? Well, apparently that happened to me with the upcoming drama Let Me Be Your Knight. A teaser came out, I remembered the conversation I had with you guys about the show and was going to write a whole post about how my first thoughts on the show were wrong buttttt…turns out? I never wrote that post. Weird.
Anyway, there is a new drama coming out called Let Me Be Your Knight.
Why do we care? Well, isn’t that what we’re here for? Talking and caring about dramas? But seriously, why out of all the dramas that I look at on the daily did this one stick out to me? It stars JR from NU’EST! Who is JR from NU’EST? I’m just going to pretend I didn’t hear that question my friend, or else you’ll break all the little hearts of every single lady who currently writes for this site. You know, me and SaraG. JR is looovely. He’s a solid leader, a good person, plus not only is he pretty to look at he has a unique and unexpectedly deep voice. The entire package is just darling. So we are very excited about this show.
Or, I was. When I said I was going to come over here to write this post, secure in my knowledge that not only had I written a post about the show, but I’d said that JR was the star and while excited I wondered if he was ready for it. When I opened up this document, I was ready to rage at you that we were either wrong or we had been baited and switched and some other guy is the hero of this show! What the? How do we protest this!?! But, apparently, I didn’t write that post so I guess I can’t really do that.
I’m still disappointed though.
The show is about a hot kpop band led by a hotshot, singer, writer, and producer played by none other than NOT JR, who has a sleep disorder, and rather than GASP, the news getting out, they hire a pretty female doctor to live with them and try and find the source of his problems. Sure. Okay.
Here’s the trailer. (JR is the one who bumps her on the stairs)
There is a rumor going around that another part of the plot is that she actually isn’t a real doctor, but I don’t have confirmation on that in the form of a synopsis, so that will just stay a rumor for now.
While I was excited for this to pop up again, they are going to have to pull out another teaser in order to pull me back in. I find the hero annoying and there is CLEARLY not enough JR. And since the show is set to premiere on November 7th, they’d better get right on producing those trailers because time is ticking down!

I gotta say, as a complete JR bias, I’m super happy with Jun as the lead. He’s a great and proven actor and idol talent…plus, the other members of the group are Jisung from Wanna One, Donghyun from AB6ix, and Jang Dong Joo…an actor on JYP that’s flitted around some fun projects. This is going to be a joy AND we get quality JR screen time. Winners all around.
He’ll always be NOT JR to me 😉
